Imagine. Build. Invest.

Part family office, part creative studio, C&CO was founded in 2011 by creative director, entrepreneur and investor Fredrik Carlström.

We get involved in ideas we want to see get made and our two passions are helping science-led founders tell their story and reimagining overlooked real estate.

Recent projects include Stockholm Stadshotell—named one of the best new hotels in the world by Travel + Leisure—and SEEQC, the first chip-based quantum computing company, which recently published groundbreaking data, closed an oversubscribed financing round, and presented at NVIDIA’s GTC “quantum day” conference.

All rooms feature furniture crafted from natural materials, solid wood built-ins, and bespoke heirloom-quality linens from Italy.

A House Where You Can Eat and Sleep

Originally built between 1873 and 1875 in memory of King Oscar I, the historic building at Björngårdsgatan 23 has reopened its doors as »Stockholm Stadshotell«.

Carefully restored in close collaboration with architects, designers, artists, and craftspeople, the building has been reimagined with 32 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a bar, a guest lounge, sauna and cold plunge, and a courtyard garden restaurant.

Tools for the Quantum Age

The biggest challenge in quantum computing is scaling. SEEQC, an acronym for Scalable Energy Efficient Quantum Computing, is revolutionizing the field with the world's first digitally integrated chip-based quantum computer. The unique approach places energy efficiency at the core of its system and offers a path to scalability, regardless of qubit type or application.

SEEQC is headquartered in New York, with labs in London and Naples, Italy.

Hospitality for Ideas

Alma is a members’ club and private workspace for creatives, artists, scientists and entrepreneurs. Founded to provide intellectual and social nourishment, Alma was created as a place to work, meet, dine and socialize. Membership also provides access to over thirty reciprocal clubs around the world.

Integrating architecture, product design, music and art, with cultural programming, food and drink, the thoughtful design work to foster creativity and collaboration.

The five-story building—once home to Beckmans College of Design—has been carefully reimagined and the result is a bold yet timeless expression of international design, layered with warmth, texture, and a sense of place.

Before we can understand the world, we must first be able to measure it.

Fermentation powers trillion-dollar industries—from brewing to pharmaceuticals—but remains complex, costly, and labor-intensive, largely due to outdated, analog sensing. Sennos’ patented technology makes sensing smart, connected, and actionable, resulting in the world’s largest real-time fermentation database.

Fewer, better things

Austere is a design company dedicated to making well-crafted, beautiful and functional furniture and accessories. In the spirit of our Scandinavian heritage, we look to surround ourselves with fewer, better things.

Believing good design is a basic human right and should be available to many, we design globally, manufacture regionally and sell direct-to-consumers online and through a select number of showrooms in the United States and Europe.

Building a better, European cloud

Founded to power a digital Europe, evroc is building a secure, sovereign and sustainable hyper scale cloud that will put an end to the foreign dominance of the European cloud market.

Reviving a legacy of glass

Nybruk is the first design-driven glassworks to open in 100 years. Founded by legendary designer Anne Nilsson, it revives Sweden’s glassmaking heritage with uncompromising artistry, craftsmanship, and innovation.

Every piece is hand-blown, cut, and finished in Småland by master craftsmen using rare techniques that celebrate the unique beauty of each creation. With designer and artisan collaborating to achieve excellence, their 30-year partnership shines in every detail.

Anchored in tradition yet boldly contemporary, Nybruk creates timeless objects that transform spaces and captivate the imagination.

Auden—a hand-blown splash of color—was designed for Matsalen, the fine dining restaurant at Stockholm Stadshotell. Versatile in function, it can be used as a vase, candle holder, or simply as a decorative piece.
Asta was designed as a signature piece for the newly opened Stockholm Stadshotell. This vase is hand-blown and asymmetrically cut, creating a dynamic form that shifts with every angle, reflecting its surroundings like an accidental kaleidoscope.
Each piece is completely unique, signed and numbered, and come in a variety of colors in three general sizes–small, medium and large. Designed by Anne Nilsson, hand-blown by Micke Johansson, and cut by Simon Holm.
